Just 1% Can Make a Huge Difference for Boobies and the Planet!
The 9th Annual Brewbies® at Bagby Beer raised over $51k for Keep A Breast! That would not have been possible without you and our partners: all the breweries, raffle contributors, merch folks, you name it. We are beyond stoked to work with such amazing people year after year.
We wanted to take some time to thank 1% for the Planet and the1% Members that contribute to Brewbies! 1% For the Planet is a global organization that connects dollars and doers to accelerate smart environmental giving. We love collaborating with companies and individuals whose values align with ours!
This year, we had eleven 1% Members be a part of Brewbies! Meet some of our favs and learn why they love being such Do-Gooders!
"At Smog City, we prioritize community in all aspects of our business and the actions of 1% for the Planet and Keep A Breast directly impact every person, in some way, that walks into our taproom or buys a beer out in the market. We believe that to be great custodians of our planet, we must give back and always strive to be better for the next generation. Our partnership with KAB and 1% are our way of doing just that."
“It’s important for Klean Kanteen to be a 1% FTP member because we get connected to organizations within our 4 pillars of concern; Plastic Pollution, Safe Consumer Products, Land and Water Conservation, and Environmental Stewardship. Through the 1% partnership have raised over 2 million dollars to help non-profits like Keep A Breast! We love KAB and Brewbies because of the awesome work they do to engage with young people and talk about the connections between the environment and cancer through art and events. Brewbies is a special event for us, it brings in an eclectic crowd of awesome people together to enjoy craft beer and raise awareness about breast cancer in a fun-loving environment!”
"Blackfish joined the 1% for the Planet alliance in 2016 to bring awareness to the pollution caused by the promotional products industry. We hope to inspire other companies to give back to sustainable causes and to make informed purchasing decisions. Small companies can be the driving force of big change."
"Jo Show Promotions owner, Mamajo, has been a planet lover and KAB lover long before being a business owner. She strives to offer her customers Earth Friendly, Recycled, and Recyclable items. Seeing KAB at Warped shows many years ago encouraged her to practice regular self-care and prevention. Jo Show loves boobies and the planet!"
*Remember drinking more than one (1) drink each day (if you are 21, of course) increases your odds of developing breast cancer. Alcohol can increase the levels of some hormones, such as estrogen and unusually high levels of estrogen increase the risk of breast cancer. We know it's not fair but think of the consequences if you drink too much. Be responsible and drink in moderation if you do.
